MICHAEL TIMMERMANS
Esq.
Mr. Timmermans serves as general counsel for the firm and seeks to optimize organizational efficiency regarding legal matters. He is responsible for the negotiation and management of client contracts, insurance matters, and employee relations and ensures legal compliance regarding mergers and acquisitions activity. Additionally, Mike oversees SEC compliance for Registered Investment Advisors and works with external compliance consultants on regulatory filings and adherence to compliance program.

Before joining FLP, Mike served as general counsel (chief legal officer) and assistant chief compliance officer for Longfellow Investment Management Co., LLC, where he maintained the firm’s compliance policies, procedures and regulatory filings, among other things. Prior to that, he was a contracts team manager at State Street Global Advisors and in-house counsel for Atlantis Technology Corporation.

Mr. Timmermans received his Juris Doctor from New England School of Law and his master’s of laws (LLM) degree in Banking and Financial Law from the Boston University School of Law.
 
R. THOMAS MANNING JR., CFA
Principal, Chief Executive Officer and President
Mr. Manning is responsible for directing the long-term growth and business strategy for F.L.Putnam. He has more than thirty years of experience in leadership positions in the investment management industry.

Prior to joining the firm, Tom served as chief investment officer and as a member of the executive committee at Boston Private Wealth LLC, the wealth management division of Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, which managed and advised on over $9 billion in assets. He previously served in the same capacity at Banyan Partners and was the CEO and chief investment officer at Silver Bridge Advisors, a Boston-based boutique investment advisory firm.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Manning served as managing director of Portfolio Advisory Services for Bank of America where he oversaw 60 portfolio managers and $26 billion in assets for the Private Banking division. He was also a market investment executive within the Private Clients Group of Fleet Boston Financial.

Tom serves on the board of directors of the Notre Dame Healthcare Center. He also serves as chair of board of directors for F.L.Putnam Investment Management.
 
MOLLY O’CONNOR
Principal, Chief People Officer
Ms. O’Connor is responsible for the Human Resource function at F.L.Putnam including development and management of HR talent processes and programs, talent acquisition, talent development, total rewards, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). She has more than 25 years of experience building and leading strong HR and talent acquisition teams at major financial services firms including BNY Mellon, FleetBoston Financial (formerly BankBoston), and State Street.

During her 11-year tenure at BNY Mellon, Molly served as Global Head of Talent Acquisition for the wealth management division. In this role, she led and developed high-performing global talent acquisition teams during a period of rapid expansion that doubled BNY Mellon’s wealth management salesforce. Molly also previously ran college and MBA recruiting for BankBoston. Most recently, she founded and led Stoneybrook Search, a financial services recruitment firm based in Boston that served the wealth management industry for the past seven years.
 
ELLEN FLAHERTY
Principal, Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Flaherty has served in various roles at F.L.Putnam and is currently the chief operating officer and chief compliance officer, overseeing daily operations and managing regulatory issues for the firm.

Ellen serves on a local youth sports board and participates in several other community activities.
 
ALBERT J. PARENT
Principal, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Parent is responsible for the firm’s technological vision and enterprise architecture. He and his team have developed a deep portfolio of proprietary systems, elevating the capabilities of client service, investment, and operations. He has over 28 years of experience in the technology and financial services industries.

Prior to F.L.Putnam, he served in leadership roles at State Street Corporation, Atlantic Trust Private Wealth Management, Banyan Partners and Silver Bridge Advisors, where he was chief technology officer.
 
CHRIS PARKER
Principal, Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. Parker is responsible for the integration of technology, business applications and processes designed to improve efficiencies across the company. Chris managed the firms transition to Salesforce in 2018. Chris is the integral member of the business transition team, ensuring smooth on boarding of new clients and personnel to the F.L.Putnam platform.

Mr. Parker has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Chris previously held senior roles at Silver Bridge Advisors and Banyan Partners and was most recently executive managing director of operations at Boston Private Wealth, a $7+ billion-dollar RIA, where he was responsible for day-to-day investment operations and client services.

Chris is a former Massachusetts Air National Guard member, former President of Plymouth Pop Warner and board member of Plymouth Babe Ruth. He’s also a CrossFit L1 trainer, and coaches’ classes on the weekend as his local gym. After coaching his 3 sons in football and baseball for the past 18 years, he is now trying to improve his golf game.
